About the Role You will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and assembling a range of equipment while also supporting our sales and administration team with technical expertise. This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate professionally with customers and colleagues. The successful applicant will be a self-motivated, able to proactively work independently, reliable individual with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. Computer literacy is essential, as you will be required to use our systems for invoicing, parts identification, and service documentation. There is flexibility on hours for this role, there is the option for fewer hours per week between 25-30 hours. What We're Looking For Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail Professional, friendly, and customer-focused attitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills, both written and verbal Computer literacy and confidence using business software systems Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities Advantageous Experience Experience with any of the following would be highly regarded: Air compressors Airless paint sprayers Mechanical service and repair environments Key Responsibilities Service & Diagnostic Repairs Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and accurately. Disassemble, repair, rebuild, and test compressors, water blasters, and airless spray equipment. Complete service documentation and job cards accurately. Prepare repair quotations and communicate repair recommendations to customers. Maintain accurate records of parts used and stock movements. Continually develop product knowledge and technical expertise through training and self-learning. Full product and systems training will be provided. Warranty Support Assist with assessing and validating warranty claims. Work alongside the Branch Coordinator to ensure warranty processes are completed efficiently and accurately. Assist with the assembly and testing of new equipment in accordance with production schedules and build requirements. Work closely with the Branch Coordinator to ensure high-quality workmanship and timely completion of builds. Technical Support & Customer Service Provide technical support to customers, service agents, and internal team members. Assist customers in person, over the phone, and via email with troubleshooting and product enquiries. Become familiar with service manuals, technical resources, and product specifications. Participate in supplier and in-house training programmes. Assist with training staff, service agents, and customers as required. Sales & Warehouse Support Assist with front-counter sales and customer enquiries. Generate invoices and process customer orders. Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders. Assist with stock handling and warehouse operations. Provide support wherever needed to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Health, Safety & Housekeeping Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment. Ensure workshop areas are kept tidy and free from hazards. Safely handle and store chemicals, oils, and workshop materials. Wear appropriate PPE and follow all company health and safety procedures. Participate in health and safety initiatives and training. Other Duties As a valued member of our team, you will also: Contribute positively to team objectives and assist colleagues where required. Attend monthly toolbox meetings. Participate in annual stocktakes and inventory management activities. Assist with maintaining accurate stock records and inventory control systems.
