PGF Limited is looking for aPublic Health Promoter /Kaimahi Pou Hiwa to join our regional teamin Te Whanganui-a-Tara. The purpose of the role is tohelp reduce gambling harm across the motu — through purposeful public health education, advocacy, and community engagement. What you'll do: Deliver high-impact public health education and advocacy that lands with communities and drives real behaviour change Build strong relationships with iwi, Māori and Pacific providers, health and social services, and gambling operators Champion Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally grounded approaches in everything you do Support Multi Venue Exclusions and connect people with the right help Work collaboratively with our central marketing team to help disseminate key behaviour change messages into local communities, consistent with our new brand and marketing direction Present consistent, high-quality messages aligned with our wider organisational strategy — across spoken, digital and printed formats Report back and communicate internallywith the rest of your teamabout what you're learning in your community, and how we can work together to make positive change happencollectively What you'll bring: A tertiary qualification in Health Promotion, Public Health, Social Work, or a related discipline Strong understanding of Health Promotion principles, especially with Māori and Pacific communities A confident,energetic andengaging presence — able to inspire others and build trust locally Solid local networks (bonus points if you already have mana in this space) Excellentwritten and spokencommunications skills. The ability to present PGF's printed and digitalsocialmarketing collateral as intended, to a high and consistent standard Comfortable working independently, and as part of a wider national team It would be an added bonus if you have skills in creatingcompellingcontent for social media and/or managing social channels Who are we?
