GWD Motor Group – Queenstown, South Island Are you a hands-on automotive technician looking for a role where quality, precision, and pride in workmanship truly matter? We’re looking for a motivated Pre-Delivery Technician to join our team and play a vital role in preparing vehicles to the highest standard before delivery. About the Role As a Pre-Delivery Technician, you’ll be responsible for the professional preparation, inspection, and accessory fitment of new and used vehicles. You’ll ensure every vehicle meets manufacturer specifications, dealership standards, and customer expectations. This is a detail-focused, hands‑on role where your work directly contributes to customer satisfaction and the overall ownership experience. Key Responsibilities Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on new and used vehicles Install and fit a wide range of accessories, including: Towbars, roof racks, alloy wheels Parking sensors, reversing cameras, navigation, and audio systems Interior/exterior protection products and films Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and dealership quality standards Inspect vehicles post-fitment to ensure high-quality workmanship Diagnose and rectify any accessory or installation issues Maintain accurate job records, timesheets, and work narratives Work collaboratively with sales, service, and parts teams Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment Stay up to date with product updates, technical bulletins, and installation methods Provide support, guidance, and training to team members when required What We’re Looking For Experience in automotive accessory installation or a similar hands‑on role Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail Ability to dismantle, fit, and repair vehicle components confidently Good computer skills and experience with workshop systems Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment A high level of professionalism and pride in your work Full NZ driver licence WOF certification (advantageous but not essential) Own basic toolkit preferred (Tool purchase plan available if required) Health, Safety & Standards Follow all workplace health and safety procedures Use PPE and maintain tools and equipment safely Ensure vehicles are handled carefully and returned in clean, damage‑free condition Report hazards, risks, or incidents promptly and contribute to continuous improvement What We Offer Competitive hourly rate based on experience Ongoing training and manufacturer‑supported development A modern, well-equipped workshop Supportive team environment with strong culture Career growth opportunities within the dealership Staff benefits and access to company programmes Why Join Us?
