Press Brake Operator

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Press Brake Operator to join our growing fabrication team. If you take pride in producing high-quality work, have experience with CNC press brake machinery, and are committed to safe work practices, we’d like to hear from you. About the Role Working within our busy engineering and manufacturing workshop, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC press brake machines to manufacture precision sheet metal components to customer specifications. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC press brake machinery. Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans. Select appropriate tooling and complete machine set-ups. Measure and inspect finished components to ensure quality standards are met. Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping. Work efficiently to meet production deadlines while maintaining a high standard of workmanship. Comply with all Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 requirements and company H&S procedures. Skills & Experience Previous experience operating CNC press brakes in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Strong measuring and mathematical skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. A positive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A strong commitment to workplace health and safety. A current forklift licence would be an advantage but are not essential. Applicants Must Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand. Be reliable, punctual and have a strong work ethic. Be willing to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol testing if required.
