Job Description
Southern Screenworks Ltd – Kirwee, South Island Southern Screenworks Ltd is a successful locally owned business operating for over 30 years in the mobile screening and crushing industry. Proudly NZ owned and operated and based at Aylesbury in the Selwyn District, with a quarry and purpose-built workshop and operating facilities. Primary focus on a modern fleet of heavy earthmoving, crushing and screening equipment. i.e., Loaders, excavators, dozers, mobile screening and crushing equipment. Largely Powerscreen and Hyundai equipment primarily running Caterpillar and Cummins engines. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, directly alongside a team with diverse capabilities, including engineers and apprentices within a modern workshop. The Company employs 35+ local people. Great variety of work that is workshop based and some off-site mobile worksites where our equipment is predominantly operating throughout Canterbury & West Coast. We Offer: Full time permanent position Vehicle supplied Uniform and all PPE Specialist tools provided Competitive wage based on qualifications, experience, skills and capability. Immediate start Saturday work is required at times on a shared roster basis We’re seeking someone who: Has appropriate licences ideally 1,2,4,5, W.T.R Can focus on quality and attention to detail The ability to correctly diagnose faults and decide on repair strategies The ability to make decisions out in the field when required. A great attitude, work ethic, and is a team player with a passion for learning. Is physically fit and healthy, with a strong attendance record. Has a keen focus for Health & Safety and the environment. Possess some basic fabrication and welding skills Some electrical knowledge and hydraulics would be an advantage The successful applicant will be required to undertake a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
