About the Role Our Security Team provides 24/7 protection across the Counties Manukau District, with a focus on Middlemore Hospital, Manukau Health Park, and additional sites as needed. This involves frequent patrols of the sites, customer service, staff and visitor escorts, attending all security related incidents as and when required, investigation reporting and follow up of various incidents, reporting to the Security Coordinator. This is a casual, as-required position with shifts rostered across a 24-hour, 7-day operation, Monday through Sunday. Applicants must be available to work on an on-call basis and be able to work at short notice. About You The ideal candidate will need to have; Minimum 1 year of security experience (healthcare setting preferred) Ability to obtain Level 2 and Level 3 National Certificate or appropriate qualifications Ability to operate modern security technology, i.e. cameras, radios pagers, electronic locking apparatus and basic computer systems Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) Basic computer skills (MS Outlook, MS Word) Ability to write clear and concise incident reports, make written statements and keep registers and records A good degree of physical fitness is required due to the nature of the role Must be available to work on call basis, rostered shift Monday to Sunday over 24 hours, 7 days a week Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
