Civil Engineer

Due to an increase in workload we are looking for a Civil Engineer. You would be working under the guidance of a senior Civil Engineer and would undertake civil design and construction monitoring for a range of three waters, roading and earthworks projects. You will work on projects from small to large, for private and public sector clients. There will be plenty of variety in your workflow. We operate a flat structure and growth opportunities in this role will be significant. We are looking for the right person to join our tight knit team and will consider a range of experience levels from 2 to 5 years + Key responsibilities Detailed civil design – earthworks, three waters and pavement design from first principles Use of various civil design and modelling software packages such as HECRAS, HYDROCAD, AustPADS and potentially 12D or CivilCAD Preparation of tender and contract documents (NZS3910) Civil construction supervision and contract administration General project administration. The ideal candidate will bring the following skills and attributes The ability to work in a small collaborative team environment; A positive attitude, excellent communication and organisational skills; At least 2 years New Zealand based experience; Experience with 12D or similar civil design software; NZ Diploma (or higher) in Surveying, and/or; Degree and Chartered Engineer candidates will also be considered with the role expanded to suit qualifications and experience.
