Tūranga: Kaiwhakahaere Pūtea | Position: Financial Controller Ngaa Takohanga | Key Responsibilities Processing invoices, payments, statements, remittances, GST, depreciation and bank reconciliations Managing cashflow, debtors, budgets, and business expenditure Payroll - including PAYE and leave Communicate with IRD and action all requirements on a timely basis Managing forecasting, and financial analysis to assist business growth and profitability Prep financial reports for each board meeting including Profit & Loss reports, Balance Sheets and Budget Variances Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring reporting deadlines are met Manage finances and report to the General Manager (daily) and the board of Trustees (bi-monthly) Complete end of financial year obligations including completing EOFY auditing Keep Charities Register up to date as well as submit audited Performance Report to Charities Board ensuring reporting deadlines are met Keep track of the spend of each grant to ensure accountability reporting is completed and submitted in a timely manner Complete and send out donation receipts at the end of financial year Put together a yearly budget with the GM for the board to approve for the beginning of each financial year Work with staff to make sure they manage their various program budgets (weekly/fortnightly reporting to staff during staff meeting) Ko Wai Koe? | About You Have an understanding of Christianity and Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application in community support work Demonstrated experience working with diverse communities. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills Empathy, resilience, and a genuine desire to empower others.
