Johnson Bros Limited is a specialist marine engineering and construction company. We're a small team of capable people doing work on the water that makes people wonder "how is that done?" Marine construction: we build wharves and marine infrastructure around New Zealand (recent example: the Mangonui boardwalk and Heavy Truck Park), and we're the premier design and build contractors for private jetties, from concept and consultation with tangata whenua through to consent and construction. We also support ports nationwide with dredging and pile maintenance. Salvage: we're the team called when things go wrong on the water, managing everything from the first client call to full execution, to prevent environmental and property damage. Specialist underwater projects: when no one else can solve the problem, we design and build the solution. About the role We need an Office Manager to run the administrative and financial engine room of the business. This is a hands-on, varied role at the centre of everything we do. You'll manage accounts payable and receivable and payroll, keeping the financial side of the business accurate and on time, while making sure projects and the wider team have the support they need to keep moving. You'll also play a key part in implementing a new project cost management and billing system, Workbench, working alongside our existing accounting software to bring more visibility and structure to how we track project costs. It's a role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their patch, and is comfortable moving between office based tasks and the practical realities of a marine construction business. About you Comfortable working independently, knowing when to take initiative and when to escalates. At least 3 years' experience in office management, administration or finance. Confident with accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processing. Strong with accounting software such as Xero. Strong with Purchase Order and Project Management software such as Workbench. Highly organised, with sharp attention to detail and accuracy. A clear, confident communicator, able to liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers. Able to move between office based tasks and site visits as project needs change. A basic understanding of construction processes is an advantage. Experience with Workbench Software specifically. Experience in marine, engineering, construction or trades industries. Experience implementing new systems alongside external providers. Understanding of contract administration and project documentation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
