Production Manager / Supervisor

Alchemy Consulting – Auckland, North Island This beverage manufacturer with a great local and international reputation is looking for a Production Manager/ Supervisor for their main Auckland production site. As Production Manager, you will work autonomously to lead a specialised production team, across multiple production SKU's taking accountability for the production process from goods inwards and inspection, through production to dispatch. This is a Monday to Friday Day role, managing a team of staff to include Team Leaders and Supervisors. As the Production Manager you will need to be on the floor all of the time to ensure quality is what it needs to be, ideally have strong people management skills, and the energy and enthusiasm to get the most out of teams, with a sound knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), LEAN, Overall Equipment Efficiency and Continuous Improvement Methodology to drive improvements and derive maximum production efficiency. Role Effectively utilise existing capabilities of staff and production plant equipment to meet the demands of the production plan for maximum output. Develop and implement effective process control systems to support the development, qualification and on-going manufacture of products to meet customer expectation. To establish and maintain performance measures for the department while ensuring all operations and documentation is compliant to GMP standard, while taking full responsibility for safety, quality, cost, delivery, motivation and the environment. Ensure all external and internal auditory standards and improvement requirements are met. Lead and motivate the production team to create a high-performance culture, encouraging individuals and teams to challenge and improve manufacturing processes to meet targets. You will ideally be Degree qualified with 4 – 8 years experience as a Production Manager within a dairy, food or beverage manufacturing plant. A high achiever with an excellent track record ofleading Team Leaders and Supervisors and production teams within a health foods / health supplement manufacturing environment. An excellent communicator with a high numerical and analytical ability. Highly passionate about your work and very willing to lead, drive, deliver and coach.
