Storeperson

Are you an experienced Storeperson looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced warehouse environment? Fresh Direct Limited is seeking a reliable and motivated Storeperson to join our Palmerston North Operations team. About the Role This is a part-time position working approximately 30 hours per week, with flexibility to work rostered weekends as required. As a Storeperson, you will play an important role in supporting the daily operations of our warehouse. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of fresh produce through receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch, while maintaining high standards of product quality, food safety, and customer service. What You’ll Do Receive, unload, inspect, and correctly store incoming goods Pick, pack, wrap, stack, and load customer orders accurately Rotate stock to maintain freshness and product quality Complete stocktakes and report discrepancies promptly Maintain accurate warehouse documentation, including Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) and dispatch records Load and unload containers safely and efficiently Keep warehouse, coolstore, crate, and pallet areas clean, organised, and secure Follow Fresh Direct's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Comply with all Health & Safety and HACCP requirements Work closely with the Operations, Trading, Customer Service, and Transport teams Carry out other warehouse duties as required What You’ll Bring You’ll be someone who takes pride in doing the job right, enjoys physical work, and works well as part of a team. Ideally, you will have: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, FMCG, or the fresh produce industry Strong attention to detail and organisational skills A positive attitude and strong work ethic Good communication and teamwork skills Experience with stock control and inventory management A current forklift licence (preferred but not essential) Knowledge of HACCP and workplace health and safety requirements (an advantage) Forklift licence or experience is advantageous but not essential Working Conditions Working in ambient and coolstore environments Regular lifting of up to 20kg Standing and walking for extended periods Operating forklifts and pallet jacks (where licensed) Flexibility to work rostered weekends as required.
