This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role inensuring patients receive equitable and timely access to healthcare serviceswhile supporting the delivery of efficient, effective, and patient-centredadministrative operations across an integrated healthcare environment. About the Role As the Business & Administration Coordinator, you willproactively remove barriers to care by supporting best-practice administrationprocesses, coordinating operational activities, and guiding administrationstaff to achieve high standards of service delivery. Working closely with the Business & AdministrationManager, Coordinators, clinical teams, and administration staff, you willprovide leadership, coaching, and specialist knowledge to ensure administrativesystems and processes support quality patient care and positive patientexperiences. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives,support innovation and digital technologies, and use data to drive equitableand timely access to healthcare services. Fostera positive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment. Encourageprofessional, culturally safe, patient-centred, and customer-focusedinteractions. Assistwith workforce coordination, roster administration, and operationalplanning. Patient Access and Service Delivery Ensurecontinuity and equity in patient access through effective management ofpatient administration systems and processes. Monitorpatient access and service delivery performance to support timelyhealthcare provision. Identifyand address barriers that impact patient access and experience. Promoteconsistent administrative practices that support organisational standardsand patient outcomes. Process Improvement and Innovation Develop,implement, and maintain efficient administrative protocols aligned withHealth NZ standards and best practice. Supportcontinuous improvement initiatives and service redesign activities. Encouragethe use of digital technologies and innovative solutions to improveefficiency and reduce administrative burden. Assistin streamlining processes that enhance patient engagement andself-management opportunities. Data, Reporting and Operational Support Utilisedata and information to monitor service performance and identifyopportunities for improvement. Supportreporting requirements and contribute to operational planning activities. Assistwith maintaining accurate records, databases, and administrative systems. Provideoperational support to the Business & Administration Manager asrequired. Collaboration and Relationship Management Workcollaboratively with Coordinators, clinical teams, and wideradministration staff to align processes and share knowledge. Buildstrong working relationships across services to support integratedhealthcare delivery. Contributeto problem-solving and operational decision-making processes. Promoteeffective communication and information sharing across teams. About You You are a highly organised and proactive professional whoenjoys supporting others, improving processes, and delivering exceptionalservice. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a strongcustomer focus, and are committed to achieving positive outcomes for patients,whānau, and colleagues. Essential Skills and Experience Demonstratedexperience implementing and supporting Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice. NCEALevel 2 or 3 qualification (or equivalent). Minimumthree years' experience in administration, customer service, or a similarrole. Intermediateto advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Currentrestricted or full New Zealand driver's licence. Excellentinterpersonal and relationship-building skills. Strongwritten and verbal communication skills. Highlevel of initiative, accountability, and self-motivation. Abilityto work independently, prioritise workloads, and manage competing demands. Excellentorganisational, time-management, and problem-solving skills. Strongattention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Provenability to work effectively within a team environment. Willingnessto embrace new technologies, systems, and ways of working. Commitmentto maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgement. Desirable Skills and Experience Relevanttertiary or postgraduate qualification. Previousexperience working within the health sector. Leadership,coordination, or management experience. Experienceusing patient management systems and healthcare information systems. Knowledgeof quality improvement and service development methodologies.
