Founded in 1905 as the Straits Settlements and the Federated Malay States Government Medical School, NUS is the oldest higher education institution in Singapore Job Description The Centre for Sustainable Asian Cities (CSAC) requires a contingent research assistant to support an intensive phase of research involving neighbourhood fieldwork, built environment mapping, participant coordination, GPS tracking, and data management. The research assistant will be based primarily at CSAC, with fieldwork conducted in selected neighbourhoods across Singapore. The research assistant will support the research team in preparing and conducting fieldwork, managing spatial and behavioural data, reviewing relevant literature, and completing other project-related tasks. The proposed appointment is for approximately six months. This period coincides with the project's intensive data preparation and fieldwork schedule from July onwards. Qualifications Be completing or have recently completed a Master's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Geography, Urban Studies, or a related discipline. Have experience in urban research methods, such as field audits, semi-structured interviews, observation. Have experience using QGIS or other geographic information system software for built environment mapping and spatial data management. Be able to conduct neighbourhood fieldwork independently and work effectively as part of a research team. Possess good organisational, documentation, data-entry, and communication skills. Be available and eligible for a part-time research assistant for approximately six months in Singapore. Be proficient in spoken and written English. Experience conducting walking audits, participant-based research, GPS tracking studies, or research involving older adults would be an advantage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
