Job Description
This is a genuinely global architecture and design practice with decades of history and studios across Australia and New Zealand. It's a firm that's spent that time building a reputation across a broad mix of sectors rather than specialising narrowly, health, commercial, residential, hospitality, mixed-use, master planning and hotels all sit within its portfolio. The studio operates as one connected practice rather than isolated local offices. That means the Auckland team gets genuine visibility on large-scale Australian projects, including a landmark mixed-use residential development currently underway in Melbourne, not just the local book of work. Based in a striking studio space in Britomart, the Auckland team is heading into a significant growth phase as part of a wider multi-year plan. This isn't a firm coasting on its history, it's actively investing in new talent and new ideas as it builds out its next chapter. About the role My client is looking for an Associate to join the Auckland studio on a clear pathway toward Principal. This is a front-end, design-led role rather than a documentation-heavy one, you'll be leading design thinking and building strong client relationships from early in a project's life. You'll work alongside a highly regarded designer within the studio known for standout early-stage conceptual work, and be part of a close, senior team including a Principal, Senior Associates and an Associate-level Interior Designer. There's also real opportunity to move between studios and build connections across the wider Australian business, including studio visits, this is a firm that wants its people genuinely plugged into the broader practice, not working in isolation. Must haves: Registered Architect Strong technical ability Experience across a mix of sectors such as health, commercial, residential, hospitality, mixed-use or hotels Confident presenting to and building relationships with clients Coming from a larger studio environment Nice to haves: Workplace or industrial project experience Experience working across trans-Tasman or multi-studio teams Why this role A genuine pathway upward toward Principal in a firm actively growing its leadership team Exposure to large-scale, high-profile projects across both New Zealand and Australia A close-knit, senior studio in a standout Britomart location The chance to work alongside one of the industry's most respected designers A firm embarking on a real growth chapter after decades of stability, with genuine appetite for new ideas #J-18808-Ljbffr
