Delivery Driver - Class 2 (Palmerston North) Experience is not necessary but a strong work ethic and reasonable level of intelligence is a must. Full training will be supplied. We have Class 1, 2, 4 and 5 trucks so someone with ambition to get a foot in the door of the transport industry should apply here. Gilmours Central is a 100% Kiwi owned and operatedwholesale-food and beverage supplier. We are looking for a reliable delivery driver that understands the meaning of "Customer Service". You will beresponsible for ensuring that our customers receive their deliveries in full, ontime and to the expected standards. Since you will be actively involved ininteracting with our customers, it is of great importance that you possessexcellent communication skills- both verbal and written. This is a full-time position with 45 hours per week and the opportunity of overtime. Flexible start times are available for the right candidate. Driving duties: As part of the role, you will berequired to stage your freight in an organized mannerand load your truckin the order of your run with the desire to achieve maximum efficiency. Freightis hand-unloaded and trolleyed in to our clients businesses so a reasonablestandard of fitness is required. To be a successfulcandidate you should havethe following: Hold a clean Full Class 2 (or higher) license. The ability to drive a manual vehicle. Attention to detail and manage deliveries within a specific timeline. Good area knowledge of the Manawatu region. Willingness to learn and succeed in a Transport Environment. Be safe and take all reasonable precautions to maintain a safeworking environment. Hardworking, honest and reliable. Fit for work. Keeping in mind that most of the freight is handunloaded into customers businesses. Work with multiple categories of goods including; Ambient, Liquor, Chilled, Frozen, Produce, Meat and Kegs. Smartphone literate. Have reliable transport for commuting to work. Ability to work in New Zealand Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test Shifts are Tuesday - Saturday with start times usually between 5am to 7am (Negotiable for the right candidate). #J-18808-Ljbffr
