Graduate quantity surveyor

Kwanto is seeking a talented Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our team of experts. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to launch your career in professional quantity surveying. As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will play an important role in providing accurate cost analysis and project estimating services that directly support our project teams and clients. This position is based in our office in Kingsland, Auckland, and represents a strategic entry point into a rewarding career within the construction industry. What you'll be doing Preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects of varying scales and complexity. Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing information. Supporting senior quantity surveyors in the financial management of construction projects. Attending site visits and project meetings as required. Contributing to the continuous improvement of our quantity surveying systems, processes and templates. What we're looking for A recent graduate (or graduating soon) with a qualification in quantity surveying. Active member of a relevant professional organisation, such as the NZIQS. Experience in cost planning and estimation is an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and developing skills using measurement and budget management software. Awareness of construction industry tools and documents, such as NZCIC Guidelines and standard forms of New Zealand building contracts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
