Electrical Project Manager

Millennium Electrical Ltd has built a nationwide presence in delivering projects for New Zealand's Critical environments & infrastructure providers. Millennium's reputation and success for delivering projects across the country means that we need to expand to meet the demand of our present work load.You will be responsible for further developing established relationships whilst delivering quality projects to a high standard. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team and lead the successful delivery of commercial and industrial electrical projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, leading project teams, and delivering quality outcomes in a fast-paced contracting environment. About the Role Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing electrical projects from award through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success while maintaining strong commercial and operational performance. Key Responsibilities Manage commercial and industrial electrical projects from commencement to completion. Prepare and monitor project programmes, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow. Manage project procurement and subcontractor engagement. Lead and support site supervisors and project teams. Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships. Identify and manage project risks, variations, and opportunities. Ensure compliance with New Zealand electrical regulations, industry standards, and Health & Safety requirements. Monitor project profitability and achieve financial targets. Prepare regular project reporting for management and clients. Support business development activities and contribute to future project opportunities. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Proven experience managing electrical construction projects within New Zealand. A strong understanding of commercial and industrial electrical installations. An electrical trade qualification, with current NZ Electrical Registration preferred. Sound commercial acumen and experience managing project budgets and contracts. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of NZ Health & Safety legislation and best practices. Experience using project management and financial software systems. Experience using Simpro management software. A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and project outcomes. A strong understanding of New Zealand construction contracting law.
