Seasonal Farm Worker

Over Student Summer Holiday period (October - February) Seasonal Farm Worker – Mixed Cropping Farm (Burnham, Canterbury) We are looking for a seasonal farm worker to join our 340 ha mixed cropping operation over the busy summer period. Roughly from October through to February but happy to negotiate dates. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is fit and able, has a strong work ethic and wants to gain experience in a modern cropping operation. Ideally this would suit a student looking for practical experience over their summer holidays. Shifting Roto-Rainer and Turbo-rain irrigation. Tractor work - ground preparation. Chasing the header during harvest with a tractor and trailer & moving grain from trailers into silos via auger Spraying weeds and fence lines. General farm maintenance and repairs. Other seasonal farm tasks as required Weekend work will be required, however we try to rotate this between staff where possible. The ideal applicant will: Be reliable, honest, and motivated Have a positive attitude and be willing to learn. Be able to work flexible hours during busy harvest periods as well as weekend work. Preferably have some farm experience driving tractors and moving irrigation would be a great advantage but not essential Have a full drivers licence Pay will be negotiated depending on experience on a per/hour basis #J-18808-Ljbffr
