Occupational Therapist - Community Mental Health Unit South Island - Otago – Queenstown, South Island Occupational Therapist – Community Mental Health Unit Central Lakes Permanent 1.0 FTE (40hrs per week) opportunity About the role This position is suited to an experienced clinician or a motivated new graduate with a passion for mental health, and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Based with the Central Lakes Mental Health Team at Dunstan Hospital, the Occupational Therapist delivers high-quality, recovery-focused care to adults with moderate to severe mental health needs across the Central Otago region. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, the role involves: Delivering therapeutic interventions Supporting transition planning Applying best-practice approaches aligned with the Let’s Get Real framework. The position also includes fulfilling the responsibilities of a Duly Authorised Officer (DAO), and participation in an after-hours crisis/on-call roster, requiring resilience, adaptability, and sound clinical judgement within a supportive team environment.
