Senior Retail Assistant | Customer Experience Lead

Help make every customer's visit a great one At UniChem Dinsdale Pharmacy, we want every customer to feel welcomed, listened to and genuinely cared for. We are looking for an experienced retail person who naturally notices customers, starts conversations and takes pride in creating a warm, well-presented and helpful pharmacy environment. This is a hands-on senior retail role. You will work alongside a small retail team, support the Pharmacy Manager and take ownership of the day-to-day customer experience, store presentation, merchandising and stock ordering. You will also have a genuine voice in the products and ranges we offer our community. What you will be doing You will: Set the standard for friendly, attentive and helpful customer service. Get to know our regular customers and build strong local relationships. Work alongside and provide day-to-day guidance to two retail team members. Keep the pharmacy looking welcoming, organised and well presented. Take responsibility for retail stock ordering and availability. Help decide which products and ranges are right for our customers. Create effective displays and coordinate seasonal promotions. Identify slow-moving stock, gaps in our ranges and opportunities to improve. Help grow retail performance through better service, presentation and product choices. Work closely with the Pharmacy Manager, pharmacists and dispensary team. This is not an office-based management role. You will be visible on the shop floor, helping customers, supporting the team and making improvements happen. What we are looking for You may currently be a senior retail assistant, beauty adviser, department supervisor, team leader or experienced customer-service professional ready for more responsibility. You will bring: Strong retail and customer-service experience. A genuine enjoyment of helping people. A warm, confident and proactive approach with customers. High standards of presentation and attention to detail. Experience with stock ordering, merchandising or product ranges. The confidence to guide and support a small team. Initiative and the ability to see what needs doing. An interest in improving both the customer experience and retail results. Reliability and flexibility when the team needs support. .
