Physiotherapist – Concussion Rehabilitation (Part-Time, 3 days) Axis Sports Medicine Specialists – Auckland, North Island Develop your expertise in concussion and brain injury rehabilitation while making a real difference to people's recovery. Axis Sports Medicine is looking for a Physiotherapist with a genuine interest in concussion and mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) rehabilitation to join our interdisciplinary team at St Lukes. Axis is one of New Zealand's leading Sport and Exercise Medicine practices. Our team includes Sport and Exercise Physicians, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Rehabilitation Clinicians and support staff who work together to deliver coordinated, evidence-based care. This role is primarily focused on concussion assessment, rehabilitation and key worker responsibilities, supporting people through every stage of their recovery. You'll work closely with our physicians and interdisciplinary team to help patients safely return to work, study, sport and everyday life. The Role Working as part of our interdisciplinary concussion service, you will: Assess and manage patients recovering from concussion and mild traumatic brain injury. Deliver evidence-based concussion rehabilitation programmes. Act as a key worker, coordinating care and supporting patients throughout their recovery journey. Work closely with Sport and Exercise Physicians, Occupational Therapists and the wider rehabilitation team. Develop rehabilitation plans that support safe return to work, education, sport and daily life. Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions and collaborative care planning. Maintain high-quality clinical documentation and contribute to excellent patient outcomes. Build strong relationships with patients, referrers and colleagues. While the focus of the role is concussion rehabilitation, there will be opportunities to support other physiotherapy services within the clinic depending on your interests and experience. About You We're looking for someone who: Is a NZ Registered Physiotherapist with a current APC. Has at least two years' clinical experience. Has a genuine interest in concussion, brain injury or neurological rehabilitation. Enjoys working with patients who have complex and varied presentations. Values interdisciplinary care and collaborative problem-solving. Communicates well and builds trust with patients and colleagues. Is organised, curious and committed to ongoing learning. Experience in concussion rehabilitation is advantageous but not essential. If you have a strong interest in this area, we'll provide support to help you develop your expertise. Why Axis?
