Senior Food & Beverage Attendant | The Foundation The Foundation Village Partnership – Parnell, North Island An opportunity to join The Foundation in Parnell, where refined hospitality is an important part of everyday resident life. The village comprises 106 luxury apartments across the Nathan and Abbott Residences, with extensive resident amenity including the historic, beautifully restored Pearson House and the newly opened Rooftop Terrace. We are seeking an experienced Senior Food and Beverage Attendant who understands attentive service and the expectations of a discerning resident community. Reporting to the Food Operations Manager, this hands-on senior service role supports a small, resident-focused hospitality team and requires confidence, maturity and sound judgement when working as part of the team or independently. About the role Based largely at historic Pearson House, this role sits at the heart of The Foundation's hospitality experience, supporting service across Maddington Eatery, event and activity spaces, and other resident amenity within The Foundation. You will take pride in attentive service, careful presentation, efficient daily routines and calm, professional communication with residents, guests and colleagues. Working closely with the Food Operations Manager and wider team, you will support daily service delivery, resident hospitality, functions and events. You will assist with opening and closing procedures, process transactions accurately, and help ensure service areas are consistently well presented and ready for guests. Key responsibilities Deliver warm, professional and attentive food and beverage service to residents, guests and visitors. Prepare and serve espresso-based barista coffee, beverages and food items to a consistently high standard. Maintain sound knowledge of menus, wines and beverages to assist residents and guests with selections. Assist with daily service set-up, opening, closing, cash-up, handover and service checklists. Support smooth service delivery on rostered shifts, using sound judgement and escalating matters appropriately. Coordinate table service, resident bookings, functions and small events with care and attention to detail. Use point-of-sale and other service systems accurately and discreetly. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, food safety and responsible alcohol service. Support and guide team members by demonstrating correct service standards and work practices. Work independently on rostered shifts while maintaining service standards, completing daily routines and escalating matters appropriately. About you Previous experience in a premium hospitality, café, restaurant, club or upscale hotel environment. Strong front-of-house service skills, including confident barista coffee making. Good wine and beverage knowledge. A current New Zealand General Manager's Certificate is required. Good computer literacy and confidence using point-of-sale, booking or hospitality systems. Sound judgement, discretion and the ability to work independently on rostered shifts. Warm interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with residents, families, colleagues and guests. Strong organisation, time management and problem-solving skills.
