Glaziers Inc Ltd is seeking experienced Glaziers to join our growing team in Christchurch, Central Canterbury. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on a diverse range of glazing projects, from residential to commercial applications. As a Glazier, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality glass and glazing solutions that enhance the functionality and aesthetics of buildings across the region. Your expertise and attention to detail will be instrumental in maintaining our reputation for excellence in the building trades. Key responsibilities Measuring, cutting, and fitting glass panes into frames for windows, doors, and other applications Installing glazing systems and sealing frames using appropriate materials and techniques Preparing surfaces and ensuring proper alignment and fit of all glass installations Operating glazing equipment and hand tools safely and effectively Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards are met and specifications are adhered to Liaising with other tradespeople and site managers to coordinate glazing work schedules Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations Troubleshooting glazing issues and implementing solutions to rectify problems What we're looking for Proven experience working as a Glazier in residential and/or commercial building environments Relevant glazing qualifications or apprenticeship completion in the building trades Strong knowledge of glazing materials, techniques, and industry best practices Proficiency in using glazing tools and equipment safely and accurately Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to various sites across the Christchurch region and within the South Island region Valid Health and Safety at Work certification or willingness to obtain it Experience with commercial glazing systems, frameless glass installations, or specialised glazing solutions is advantageous What we offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications Ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your glazing skills Access to quality tools and modern equipment for effective job completion A supportive team environment with experienced colleagues willing to share knowledge Full-time employment providing job security and stability Flexibility to discuss work arrangements that suit your lifestyle A commitment to health and safety, with comprehensive workplace safety practices in place About us Glaziers Inc Ltd is an established glazing contractor based in Christchurch, specialising in delivering exceptional glass and glazing solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
