Fabricator / Machine Operator

With continued growth in our business, we are looking for a motivated and reliable Stonemason / Factory Hand / Polisher to join our Christchurch-based team. About the Role You’ll be part of a skilled team specializing in the fabrication and installation of granite and engineered stone benchtops and products. This is a varied, practical role where no two days are the same. Location: Christchurch Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week Monday - Friday (Saturdays when required) Employment Type: Permanent, full-time Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience and skill level Key Responsibilities Collect and handle granite slabs according to specifications Apply templates and polish stone to a high-quality, millimetre-perfect finish Set up, adjust, and operate machinery and tools Identify and resolve machine faults or maintenance needs Ensure templates and measurements are accurate Cut, shape, and polish stone using both machines and hand tools Fit and shape stone for custom or irregular spaces Repair and maintain stone products and materials What We’re Looking For Experience with tools and machinery relevant to stonework Physically fit and able to handle heavy materials Previous factory experience (ideally with granite benchtops) Ability to read plans and work accurately with measurements Full driver’s licence Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential) A positive attitude and strong work ethic What’s in It for You?
