Our ASB Digital Workplace Platform (Insight and Care Squad) is growing. We support the staff assisted Guidance & Advice Tool, It's a product advice feature and decision engine which is used by staff to provide guided advice to existing and prospective customers. It is also the main tool for record keeping for non advice conversations in Personal and Business Banking - to provide information and action requests.
\nWe’re looking for a multi-talented Software Engineer with Automation expertise. In this role you will collaborate across teams, and build secure, high-quality integrations and agent-facing experiences for our customers and colleagues.

\nYou’ll be working independently across the software development lifecycle, delivering high-quality applications that align with our technology architecture and business priorities. This is a hands‑on role with a strong focus on building, designing, and testing, while actively contributing to the automation team and Insight and Care Squad. You’ll also take an active part across the SDLC and follow best practices and guardrails.

- Support to the strategy of the Intelligent Automation suites. \n
- Support and contribute to the maintenance of the software and seeking technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching from others in the team. \n
- If required, provide excellent customer services on the daily functioning of applications for our stakeholders. \n

- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience. \n
- Demonstrated interest in ongoing professional development, with relevant certifications in automation technology where applicable. \n
- Working knowledge of Agile ways of working and basic understanding of the software development lifecycle. \n
- Ability to contribute across the SDLC, delivering work with minimal hand‑offs and supporting the team to achieve better outcomes. \n
- Willingness to learn and work through unfamiliar or non‑routine technical issues, including adapting to changing requirements. \n
- Developing understanding of financial services regulation, risk, and compliance. \n
- Passion for technology, with a growing understanding of how it is consumed and the impact it has. \n
- Clear communication skills, with a willingness to share knowledge and contribute to the development of others. \n
- Experience in configurating and deploying strategy within a collection platform preferred \n
