Drainlayer — Tier 1 Civil Infrastructure

We are seeking experienced Drainlayer for large-diameter concrete pipe installation, pipebursting and lateral connections on Tier 1 civil infrastructure projects.

This is full-time, permanent work with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week. Longer hours may be required during busy periods. Pay is $32–$36 per hour depending on experience and certifications.

What you'll need

• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience
\n
• Current Class 1 Drivers Licence (or equivalent)
\n
• No PGDB registration required — you'll work under the client's Exemption of Supervision licence
\n
• Full compliance with company Health & Safety systems and procedures at all times
\n
• Punctuality and reliability
\n

Key tasks and responsibilities

\n
• Locating underground services from plans prior to excavation, and planning shoring requirements
\n
• Working under the supervision of registered drainlayers to carry out excavation, pipelaying, manhole/structure construction, backfilling and full reinstatement of trenches
\n
• Confirming pipe gradients and structure depths using dumpy/pipe laser to client specifications
\n
• Testing backfill compaction using a Clegg hammer
\n
• Completing QA forms, CCTV records and all other client-required documentation
