As a family-owned Christchurch business, they design, fabricate and manufacture custom-engineered solutions for some of New Zealand's best-known manufacturers, with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and safety. Due to continued growth, they're looking for Trade Qualified Fabrication Engineers to join their close-knit team. This is more than just another workshop role. You'll be working on a wide variety of interesting projects, use quality equipment, and be part of a business where your ideas are valued, your work gets noticed, and you'll have genuine opportunities to grow as the company continues to expand. About the role You’ll be involved in a diverse mix of workshop and onsite fabrication work across Canterbury. No two projects are the same, giving you the opportunity to apply your technical skills while solving unique engineering challenges. Key responsibilities Fabrication and welding of custom component Fabrication and welding of stainless-steel tube and pipe systems Purge welding stainless steel tube and pipe to industry standards Assembly of manufactured products Repairs and maintenance work Workshop and onsite fabrication across Canterbury Welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions Working with stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel, cast iron, and other alloys Operating safety equipment and maintaining safe work practices. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Trade qualification in Fabrication Experience working with stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel Experience with stainless steel tube and pipe fabrication would be an advantage, but is not essential Strong welding capability across multiple positionsExcellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail Pride in producing quality workmanship A positive, adaptable attitude and willingness to work as part of a team Strong communication and organisational skills Why Mach3?
