Orchard Operations Cadet

Pro Kiwi Limited manages leading kiwifruit orchards across the Bay of Plenty, providing orchard management, machinery, maintenance, labour and harvesting services. About the Role This role is suited to someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine interest in horticulture who is looking to build a long-term career within the industry. The successful candidate will gain experience across seasonal orchard activities while developing the knowledge and skills required to progress into supervisory and management roles in the future. You will receive hands-on training in: Orchard operations and seasonal work programmes Machinery operation and harvest activities Irrigation, frost protection and pollination Health & Safety and workplace best practices Staff supervision and leadership development Key Responsibilities Assist with day-to-day orchard operations across the growing season. Support operations, crop monitoring, irrigation, frost protection and pollination programmes. Participate in harvest operations and operate machinery as trained. Assist with young vine development, including planting, grafting and training. Follow Health & Safety procedures and maintain equipment and tools. Develop practical orchard, communication, and leadership skills. About You Motivated, reliable and eager to learn Interested in horticulture and orchard management A strong communicator and team player Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors Hold a Full NZ driver's licence No orchard experience is required—we're looking for attitude, work ethic and a willingness to learn.
