About the Role As a Storeperson within our Distribution Centre, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely, accurate, and safe management of medical supplies, equipment, and inventory that support patient care and hospital operations. Working as part of a dedicated distribution team, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and distributing products across the health service, helping ensure frontline healthcare teams have the supplies they need to deliver exceptional patient care. Key responsibilities include: Picking and preparing requisition orders for internal and external customers Receiving, checking, and receipting incoming goods Unloading deliveries and ensuring stock is stored accurately Replenishing inventory and maintaining stock rotation using FIFO principles Conducting inventory scans and supporting stock control activities Assisting with stocktakes and inventory audits Monitoring stock integrity and managing damaged or expired stock Maintaining a safe, secure, and organised warehouse environment Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and quality service delivery Using warehouse management systems and computerised inventory tools to manage stock movements and customer enquiries. About the Team The Distribution team is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of medical supplies and equipment throughout the organisation. The team plays a critical role in supporting clinical services by maintaining efficient inventory management practices and providing high-quality service to internal customers across the hospital and wider health system. About You You are a reliable and customer-focused team player with excellent organisational skills and a strong attention to detail. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in ensuring supplies and equipment are available where and when they are needed. You will bring: A strong commitment to quality customer service Excellent time management and organisational skills alongside high attention to detail and accuracy Strong interpersonal and communication skills to have the ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of inventory management and stock control processes supported by Computer and data entry skills Sound judgement and a flexible, cooperative approach Physical fitness and the ability to safely handle equipment weighing up to 20kg and move stock, trolleys, and pallets. Experience following written procedures and processes Experience using computerised inventory or warehouse management systems Previous experience in healthcare, purchasing, warehousing, distribution, or supply chain environments.
