Location: Kenepuru Accident and Medical Clinic, Kenepuru Hospital, Porirua Contract: Casual About the Role We are seeking Registered Nurses who would like to work on a casual basis. We offer the opportunity to join our motivated and professional team in the Kenepuru Accident and Medical Clinic. If you like variety in your day and would enjoy working with an awesome team we are keen to hear from you. The role is casual and you would need to be able to work a combination of 5 hour & 8 hour shifts including weekends and night shifts within the roster. The ideal candidate would be available for a minimum of 2 shifts/week due to needs in the clinic. About the Team/Service/Location The Kenepuru Accident and Medical Clinic (KAMC) is a busy 24 hour Urgent Care Clinic situated at Kenepuru Hospital. We provide assessment and management of injury or medical problems that are sudden, unexpected or unplanned, which are non-life or limb threatening, but which require urgent clinical care. KAMC provides primary urgent after hours care and provides a supportive link between community primary health services and tertiary hospital services. KAMC sees approximately 36,000 patients per annum and serves the community and population of the Porirua basin. The team consists of Urgent Care Physicians and trainees, independent medical staff, local GPs, registered nurses, nurse practitioners and administrative staff. About you Enthusiastic dynamic and forward thinking. Have a strong patient care focus and able to deliver high quality of care for patients and whānau. Team player and have the ability to work independently. Have previous experience in: Urgent Care, Practice Nursing, Paediatric or Acute care settings. Have practical skills and knowledge in areas such as triage, wound care, plastering, cannulation and phlebotomy. Experience working with Medtech Evolution would be an advantage.
