Centre Director, All About Children - Greta Point Kids World Education Group – Wellington Central, North Island Centre Director – All About Children, Greta Point (Wellington) Lead a Centre. Build a Team. Grow a Business. All About Children, Greta Point is seeking an exceptional Centre Director to lead one of our purpose-built, state-of-the-art early childhood centres. This is not a traditional Centre Manager role. We are looking for an experienced leader who can confidently operate the centre as if it were their own business; someone who thrives on responsibility, makes sound decisions independently, develops people, and delivers outstanding outcomes for children, families, and the organisation. Our ideal Centre Director is someone who doesn't wait for problems to be solved by others. They identify them early, develop practical solutions, coach their team through them, and keep the centre moving forward. Working alongside our Senior Leadership Team, you will have support when you need it, but your success will come from your ability to lead independently, think strategically, and create a culture where accountability, quality, and continuous improvement become the standard. What You'll Be Responsible For: As Centre Director you will take ownership of every aspect of the centre's success, including: Leading the overall operational performance of the centre Growing and maintaining strong occupancy and enrolment levels Managing budgets and ensuring the centre performs sustainably Leading workforce planning, staffing, recruitment, performance management, and HR processes Building a strong leadership culture by coaching and developing future leaders Ensuring excellent curriculum delivery through mentoring and supporting teaching practice Maintaining exceptional compliance across all licensing, regulatory, health and safety, and operational requirements Creating meaningful partnerships with children, families, schools, and the wider community Using data and evidence to drive improvement, make informed decisions, and strengthen centre performance Taking ownership of challenges, making confident decisions, and resolving issues professionally and proactively We're Looking for Someone Who Is an experienced Centre Director, Centre Manager or senior ECE leader with a proven record of leading successful centres Holds a Bachelor of Education or Diploma in Teaching (ECE) Level 7 with current Full Teacher Registration Can confidently lead an entire centre with minimal day-to-day direction Has strong commercial awareness and understands that successful centres require both educational excellence and sound business leadership Has demonstrated success managing enrolments, occupancy, staffing, budgets, and operational performance Is highly skilled in employment relations, coaching difficult conversations, conflict resolution, and staff performance management Understands workforce planning and can build stable, high-performing teams Has an excellent understanding of Te Whariki, the Licensing Criteria, Teaching Council requirements, ERO expectations, Ministry of Education regulations, and quality assurance systems Uses data to monitor performance, identify trends, and make strategic decisions Is organised, resilient, solutions-focused, and able to prioritise effectively under pressure Naturally develops others and creates confident leaders rather than dependent teams Leads with integrity, professionalism, accountability, and high expectations What Success Looks Like Our Centre Directors create centres where: Children thrive.
