Senior AWS Engineer

AWS Cloud Engineer – 6 Month Contract Our client is a leading data centre operator seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join their infrastructure team. This hands-on role will see you working across AWS, cloud security, networking, and critical infrastructure environments, helping to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable platforms. What you’ll do: Design, build, and support AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2, S3, VPC, and related networking services. Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Security & Compliance Implement and maintain cloud security controls and best practices. Support compliance activities aligned with ISO27001 and SOC2 requirements. Infrastructure & Operations Support data centre infrastructure and hybrid cloud environments. Work with networking and security technologies, including Fortinet. Contribute to platform monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and operational support. Work alongside teams supporting Building Management Systems (BMS) and Operational Technology (OT) environments. What you’ll need: To be successful in this role, you’ll have: Proven AWS experience, including EC2, S3 and VPC. Experience with operating technology systems (SCADA, JACE controllers, DCS, etc) or building management systems. Experience with Infrastructure as Code. Strong networking and infrastructure fundamentals. Experience with SharePoint, Purview, ISO27001 and knowledge of servers and networking would be a bonus!
