Beattie Air Conditioning Service Limited Christchurch, Canterbury Full-time, permanent Minimum 40 hours per week $40.00 - $60.00 per hour, depending on qualifications, skills, experience, and responsibilities Beattie Air Conditioning Service Limited is looking for experienced Team Lead HVAC Service Technician to join our commercial Service Department. The position offered will depend on the successful applicant’s qualifications, technical ability, experience, leadership capability, and overall suitability for the role. Beattie Air has been operating in Canterbury for over 30 years and is proud to support long-term commercial clients across the region. Our Service team works across a wide range of commercial HVAC systems, providing maintenance, servicing, fault diagnosis, repairs, commissioning, and technical support. About the role This role involves commercial HVAC service and maintenance work across client sites in Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region, responsibilities include: Working on VRF/VRV systems, Air Handling Units, packaged units, split systems, hi-wall systems, heat pumps, ventilation systems, and general commercial HVAC plant Diagnosing faults across commercial HVAC systems and equipment Servicing, maintaining, repairing, testing, and commissioning HVAC plant and components Completing service reports, job records, and related documentation Building and maintaining professional client relationships Working safely and meeting company Health & Safety and industry requirements Assisting with technical guidance, mentoring, and upskilling of apprentices or junior technicians where appropriate Assisting with planning, technical support, leadership of the Service team while remaining hands-on in the field What we are looking for Applicants must have: A relevant HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical services, or equivalent trade qualification, or suitable equivalent industry experience Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability The ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and customer service skills A strong commitment to Health & Safety Commercial HVAC experience, Leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience will be highly regarded for this Team Leader positions.
