About the Role We are seeking a capable and hands-on HR Generalist to support our operations across New Zealand and Australia. This is a broad and globally connected role, ideal for someone who is comfortable working as a standalone local HR representative, providing end-to-end support across the employee lifecycle. Role is connected to the wider HR team in the global Organisation. You’ll bring strong expertise in employment legislation, employee relations, recruitment, and organisational change, along with the confidence to manage performance issues and difficult conversations with professionalism and care. Key Responsibilities Deliver end-to-end HR support across New Zealand and Australia Ensure compliance with NZ & AU employment legislation, awards, and standards Lead and manage employee relations matters, including: Employee’s recognition and growth Performance Assessments and evaluations Handling sensitive and complex workplace issues Support and guide leaders through difficult conversations with employees Assist with and implement organisational change processes, including restructures and redundancies Manage recruitment activities, including workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on people-related matters Maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with legal requirements and best practice Operate effectively as a standalone HR practitioner, owning and prioritising HR initiatives Process payroll and prepare related reports accurately and on time Maintain HRIS updates and accurate personnel files Support internal and external audit activities as required Provide reporting within a corporate environment to support HR and business decision-making About You You are a resilient and pragmatic HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident working independently. Skills & Experience Proven experience in a generalist HR role Strong working knowledge of New Zealand employment law (additional knowledge in Australian law is beneficial) Experience managing Performance Reviews and delivering difficult or sensitive conversations Demonstrated ability to handle employee relations issues end-to-end Experience in recruitment and talent acquisition processes Comfortable operating as a sole HR resource or in a lean HR team Experience supporting change management initiatives Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills Ability to balance empathy with business needs and compliance Being trustful, reliable and meticulous in work Tertiary qualification in HR, Business, or related discipline Experience in regional or cross-border roles (NZ/ AU) Exposure to HR systems and reporting Why Join Us?
