Job Description
HVAC Technician Whangārei Based | $40 - $45 per hour + Company Vehicle, Phone & Laptop Are you a qualified HVAC Technician looking for a new opportunity with a great team and excellent benefits? We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our growing business. This is a hands‑on role working across a variety of commercial and residential projects, carrying out installation, maintenance, servicing, and fault‑finding on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. Competitive pay rate of $35 - $45 per hour (depending on experience) Company vehicle provided Mobile phone and laptop supplied Full-time, permanent position 7:30am start with consistent work hours, on-call roster Supportive team environment Opportunities for ongoing training and development Key Responsibilities Install, service, maintain, and repair HVAC systems Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently Complete preventative maintenance work Comply with all relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, industry standards and company policies Provide excellent customer service on‑site Complete job documentation and service records are completed accurately and within required timeframes About You National Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Level 4 or equivalent. Current EST Licence and relevant certifications Full NZ Driver Licence Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills Knowledge of refrigeration, mechanical, electrical and electronic systems Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good organisational and time‑management skills, with attention to detail. Strong comuter / digital job‑management skills Reliable, organised, and customer‑focused Commitment to health and safety best practices Ability to interpret mechanical drawing and working drawings Physical Requirements Ability to work safely on active commercial and industrial sites Ability to access plant rooms, roofs, ceilings, confined spaces and other mechanical areas where required Abilit to climb ladders and work at heights where required Ability to lifter and handle tools, equipment and materials associated with the role Work in varying weather and job‑sites conditions Physical fit to safely perform duties of the role If you're a skilled HVAC professional looking for a stable role with excellent remuneration and the tools you need to succeed, we'd love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
