Excavator Operator - Whitianga

ExtraStaff is currently seeking experienced Excavator Operators for an ongoing civil construction project based in Whitianga. We are working with a reputable civil contractor delivering ongoing earthworks and infrastructure works in the region. This is a great opportunity for skilled operators looking for consistent work on a long-term project. About the Role You will be operating excavators on a live civil site, supporting a range of earthworks activities including: Bulk earthworks and site preparation Trenching and drainage work Loading trucks and moving materials around site Final trim / detailed excavation (where skilled) Supporting roading and infrastructure works Daily machine checks and basic maintenance Working closely with civil crews to meet project deadlines What We’re Looking For Strong civil construction or earthworks background Confident operating in a busy site environment Strong health & safety awareness Reliable, hardworking, and physically fit Ability to work independently and within a team Requirements Full Class 1 Driver Licence WTR Endorsements preferred Ability to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test Legal right to work in New Zealand Site Safe or ConstructSafe (preferred but not essential) Own reliable transport What’s in it for You?
