Log and Timber Inspector – Dunedin/Port Chalmers Export Log and Timber Inspector @ IVS Ltd Dunedin/Port Chalmers We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, who can think on their feet and is service delivery focused to join our Forestry Certification Team in the Dunedin/Port Chalmers area. Duties and Responsibilities Inspection Phytosanitary inspections for export logs Export timber inspection for a wide range of key suppliers to overseas markets Product security inspection for a wide range of forestry products Some Biosecurity general knowledge Reporting Accurate recording of inspection outcomes Timely completion of inspection reports Close liaison with the Forestry Certification Team to ensure client specific reporting requirements are met Communication Communicate with our Forestry Certification Team on work programmes Communicate regularly with key stakeholders Ensure our commitment to customer service and programme delivery is maintained to the highest standard Physical Requirements This is a home office-based job and requires travel for on-site inspections for our clients. Must be able for travel to inspection sites Full driver’s licence is required Must be able to speak and listen in person and on the phone Strong time management and the ability to work independently Reasonable fitness is required due to the outdoor nature of this role Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Full training and ongoing support for this role will be provided with opportunities of growth for the successful candidate in additional areas.
