Warehouse Assistant

Danik Bathroomware is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic team at our Panmure, Auckland facility. This is a full-time position (41.5 hours per week) that plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution centre. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities that keep our warehouse running smoothly, including receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching products. This role is essential to maintaining our high standards of service delivery to our customers and partners across New Zealand. Hours of work: Monday–Thursday: 9:00am – 4:30pm Friday: 9:00am – 3:30pm Saturday: 10:30am – 3:30pm What you'll be doing Receiving, checking and processing incoming stock and inventory into the warehouse management system Organising and storing products in designated locations using appropriate storage methods and safety procedures Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently according to order specifications Preparing shipments for dispatch, including labelling, documenting and loading onto delivery vehicles Conducting regular stock counts and assisting with inventory audits to maintain accurate records Operating warehouse equipment, including a forklift, pallet jacks and scanning devices Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment in compliance with health and safety regulations Supporting the wider warehouse team and assisting with ad-hoc tasks as required to meet business needs Identifying and reporting any damaged stock, discrepancies or operational issues to management What we're looking for A current forklift licence is advantageous Physically fit and able to lift, carry and move heavy items on a regular basis — this is essential for the role Previous experience working in a warehouse, distribution centre or similar logistics environment Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Attention to detail and accuracy in order picking, packing and record-keeping Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team Reliability and a strong commitment to health and safety in the workplace A valid New Zealand driving licence is required Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory software is preferred but not essential What we offer $28-$30 per hour, with guaranteed full-time hours Stable full-time employment with a well-established company in the bathroomware industry Ongoing training and development opportunities, including health and safety induction Supportive team environment where your contributions are valued and recognised Clear progression opportunities within the warehouse and logistics department A commitment to work-life balance and reasonable working hours About us Danik Bathroomware is a leading supplier of high-quality bathroom fixtures and fittings, serving customers across New Zealand.
