Catering Assistant

A global airline catering company based in Airport Oaks, Māngere, and play an important role in preparing and delivering meals for airlines and retail customers. We're looking for reliable, hardworking Catering Assistants to join our team. This is a full-time, hands-on role in a fast-paced production environment, with opportunities to work across a variety of departments. About the Role As a Catering Assistant, your duties may include: Assembling airline meals on a production line Sorting, picking, and packing meals for dispatch Processing inbound airline equipment Washing dishes, trays, and cutlery Assisting with basic food preparation Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene Supporting the team to meet production deadlines You’ll be working in a cool, temperature-controlled environment and should be comfortable standing for extended periods. What We're Looking For We’re seeking team members who: Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic Have good attention to detail and hand-eye coordination Possess basic literacy and numeracy skills (an assessment forms part of the interview process) Are comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment Have reliable transport to and from work (public transport is available but may not suit all shift times) Have previous food production, kitchen, manufacturing, or pick-packing experience (preferred but not essential) Have the legal right to work in New Zealand Can pass a Ministry of Justice (Police) check (minor convictions will be considered on a case-by-case basis) Hours Full-time - 40 hours per week Choose either: 5:00 am shift, or 2:00 pm shift Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday What's on Offer Stable, full-time employment Opportunity to join a leading global airline catering company Supportive team environment Great opportunity to build experience in aviation catering and food production If you're dependable, enjoy working as part of a team, and are looking for a rewarding full-time opportunity, we'd love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
