Care Partners (Healthcare Assistants) - Full Time Elizabeth Knox Home and Hospital – Epsom, North Island Elizabeth Knox Home & Hospital is seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Partners to join our team. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents living with dementia or complex care, while working within a supportive and person-centred environment. About the Role As a Care Partner, you will provide essential personal care and support to our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and wellbeing. This role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a rotating shift pattern (AM, PM, or Night shifts) across a 7-day roster. Support residents with Activities of Daily Living (ALDs), including showering, toileting, feeding, and meal preparation. Assist residents with activities, engagement, and walks to promote mobility and quality of life. Take routine clinical observations. Report any changes in resident condition to the Registered Nurses (RNs). Provide basic wound care as outlined in wound care plans initiated by an RN. Administer routine medications (experience Care Partners in this service will be reviewed their medication competency). Contribute to a calm, safe, and supportive environment for residents with varying stages of dementia. Sufficient physical fitness to meet the demands of the role. About You We are looking for individuals who are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care and who demonstrate: Experience in aged care. Experience in dementia care, including supporting residents with challenging behaviours (preferred). Commitment to person-centred philosophy and compassionate care. Ability to maintain professionalism, patience, and resilience in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to undergo a criminal record check and provide satisfactory reference checks. Qualification NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (level 4). Dementia specialisation through Careerforce Dementia Care (Level 4), or micro-credentials in dementia care and support (preferred)/ Medication competency (or willingness to complete competency training).
