Automotive Technician – Jim Wright Motor Group | Te Rapa, Hamilton Jim Wright Motor Group is expanding, and we're looking for a skilled Automotive Technician to join our busy workshop in Te Rapa, Hamilton. As an authorised service agent for Nissan, Renault, Foton, Jaecoo and Omoda, we offer a modern workshop, the latest manufacturer diagnostic equipment, ongoing factory training, and excellent opportunities for career development. About the Role As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship while ensuring all servicing and repairs are completed to manufacturer standards. Your responsibilities will include: Carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance on customer vehicles Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults accurately and efficiently Using factory diagnostic equipment to perform software updates and technical reporting Identifying additional maintenance requirements and preparing repair recommendations where required Maintaining accurate repair documentation Working both independently and collaboratively within a professional workshop environment About You We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and has a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. To be successful in this role, you will have: An Automotive Technician qualification (preferred but not essential). We will also consider the right applicant for an apprenticeship. Current WOF Inspector certification (preferred but not essential). Experience in vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs. Strong electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills. A full, clean New Zealand driver's license. New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work visa.
