Job Description

We are looking for a Cloud and Platform Engineer to join our Auckland office and take ownership of our core cloud platforms and endpoint management. In this role, you will help ensure our IT services are stable, secure, auditable, and continuously improving within a modern Microsoft-centric environment. This is a hands‑on senior engineering role within a tiered operating model, Level 3 support focused on platform implementation, optimisation, and complex technical resolution. Working closely with the IT Engineer (Modern Workplace), Security Engineer, vendors, and international IT stakeholders, you will support a cloud‑first and security‑led environment, with strong focus on reliability, operational discipline, evidence capture, and quality change management. Key Responsibilities Own and optimise core cloud and endpoint platforms, including Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams Lead technical resolution of complex Level 3 incidents and requests across identity, endpoint, and Microsoft 365 services Manage platform configuration, identity and access controls, device compliance, patching, and operational standards to maintain a secure and reliable environment Design and implement automation using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and Intune scripting to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability Deliver approved platform changes, ensuring appropriate risk assessment, documentation, testing, rollback planning, and evidence capture Support security and compliance requirements, including ISO 27001‑aligned controls, audit readiness, and ongoing technical assurance Provide technical leadership to vendors and internal stakeholders through documentation, knowledge sharing, and best practice guidance About You We are looking for someone who brings the following experience and strengths: Proven experience operating as a senior engineer in a cloud‑first environment Strong experience engineering and supporting Microsoft environments, including Microsoft 365, Teams, Intune, and identity and access management Strong PowerShell scripting skills, with experience automating Microsoft 365 and endpoint management processes Experience implementing and maintaining Conditional Access policies, platform configuration baselines, and security controls Demonstrated ability to manage operational controls, including patching, configuration management, monitoring, incident resolution, and change management Strong documentation and evidence discipline across tickets, change records, technical designs, and knowledge articles The below is desirable, though not essential: Experience in ISO 27001‑aligned, audit‑driven, or controlled environments Relevant Microsoft certifications or demonstrable equivalent capability in Microsoft 365 administration, Intune, or endpoint management Familiarity with legal technology platforms such as iManage, Elite 3E, or InterAction+ Exposure to Microsoft Copilot enablement, data loss prevention, and information governance basics Attributes Curious, structured, and confident in solving complex technical problems Clear and professional in communicating technical issues, decisions, and risks to technical and non‑technical stakeholders Able to plan and prioritise across BAU and change activity, while maintaining strong documentation and delivery standards Proactive, resilient, and comfortable taking ownership in a controlled and fast‑moving environment Detail‑focused and disciplined, with a strong sense of accountability for quality, security, and audit outcomes #J-18808-Ljbffr
