We're looking for an experienced and driven South Island Sales Manager to lead our sales strategy, grow market share, develop our people, and strengthen customer relationships across the South Island. This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who thrives on building business, leading teams, and delivering exceptional commercial results. About the Role Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the South Island sales function. You will develop and execute growth strategies, lead a high-performing sales team, and ensure outstanding service to both new and existing customers. Your focus will include: Driving sustainable revenue growth and exceeding sales targets Identifying and securing new business opportunities Growing existing customer relationships and key accounts Leading, mentoring and developing the South Island sales team Supporting strategic business planning and regional expansion opportunities Working closely with operational teams to ensure seamless customer delivery Collaborating with the North Island Sales Manager to deliver a consistent national sales approach Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities Reporting on sales performance and KPIs Promoting the full range of Total Access services including: Access Machines Height Safety & Specialist Height Services Training Services About You You are an experienced sales leader who enjoys creating opportunities, developing people, and achieving ambitious commercial goals. You'll bring: Proven success in senior B2B sales leadership Strong business development and account management experience Experience recruiting, coaching and leading successful sales teams Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills Strategic thinking with the ability to identify growth opportunities Strong relationship management and communication skills A customer-first mindset and commitment to delivering outstanding service Excellent organisational and reporting skills The ability to travel throughout the South Island and occasionally elsewhere in New Zealand Experience within construction, industrial services, access equipment, scaffolding, hire, infrastructure, engineering or related industries would be highly regarded. What You'll Be Responsible For Delivering and exceeding regional sales budgets Building long-term customer partnerships Preparing accurate quotations and maintaining healthy profit margins Monitoring market conditions and competitor activity Leading sales training and performance development Maintaining accurate CRM and sales reporting Working collaboratively across operational and leadership teams Supporting regional growth initiatives and business expansion Health & Safety At Total Access, safety is at the heart of everything we do.
