Te Haeata/The Opportunity This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced technology support specialist to provide technology advice and support to members of the Judiciary and their staff. We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused individual to join a team dedicated to delivering exceptional technology support to our valued judicial users. This is a unique role that combines hands‑on technical support with trusted relationship management. You will work closely with the Judiciary providing technology advice, coaching, and both desk‑side and remote assistance to ensure technology enables, rather than interrupts, the delivery of justice in Aotearoa New Zealand. Location: This role requires an on-site presence based at Palmerston North District Court. Focus of the Role The Judicial Support Advisor delivers responsive digital support services to members of the Judiciary, combining technical expertise with strong relationship management skills. Working closely with judges and their support staff, you will provide practical technology support and advice, build trusted relationships, identify opportunities for improvement, and help users get the most value from the technology available to them. The role supports the delivery of high‑quality services that align with local and national initiatives, service standards, and organisational priorities. Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience Experience providing technology support and service delivery within a complex organisation Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and engage effectively with a wide range of people, including senior stakeholders Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver work within agreed timeframes and quality standards Confidence in guiding, coaching, or mentoring others to build capability within a team environment A proactive and solutions‑focused approach to problem solving, with strong attention to detail Ability to adapt to new systems, tools, and processes in a fast‑changing environment In addition: Due to the geographic distribution of our business, travel will be required You must be able to work independently and hold a current full New Zealand driver licence You have a high standard of personal presentation that shows respect for the role of your key customers ITIL qualification is an advantage Knowledge of the Justice Sector and Government is preferred Mō mātou/About us At Te Tāhū o te Ture - the Ministry of Justice, we're committed to working together for a fair and safe Aotearoa. Utu ā-tau/Salary The remuneration band for this role is between $70,050 - $94,348 based on your skills and experience.
