TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE - FRANKLIN REGION We have an opportunity for a Technical Sales Representative to join our team and continue to market and build our sales in the Franklin region. You would be joining a highly knowledgeable, collaborative team that works alongside our grower base nationwide. We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic sales professional to confidently manage sales to our field and low-medium tech greenhouse covered cropping customers, which is a key area for our business. We are seeking a person who has the following attributes. Is passionate about the horticultural industry Sales experience and knowledge of the seed industry is preferred. Whilst experience is an advantage, this is not a pre-requisite to be considered; we welcome applications from graduates or applicants who display a dedicated attitude to the industry and a desire to learn Is an awesome team player with a high standard of professionalism and self-motivation Communicates confidently and has excellent interpersonal skills Is able to work autonomously Is a proactive problem solver Has a proven ability to achieve and surpass sales targets Can manage and organise themself, and plan and execute call cycles and visits Has the ability to travel and holds a current full driver’s licence Is a self-starter with competent numeracy and literacy skills, is computer savvy, and is comfortable with systems. This complements their excellent communication skills and enables them to be a professional team player, driven to provide excellent customer service and sales results ABOUT THE ROLE - WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Reporting to our General Manager, this role will primarily be sales focused but will include promoting our new introductions to customers through on farm trials, to achieve sales budgets for both South Pacific Seeds and Seed Innovations. At all times you will deliver professional service, assisted by your strong technical knowledge and willingness to support our customers. Sales opportunities can be facilitated by conducting and assessing trials with key customers WHAT WE OFFER This is a permanent full-time, salaried position which includes a company vehicle (full professional and personal use), mobile phone, computer, plus additional staff benefits. The position will be based at our head office in Pukekohe. This role does require a travel component to visit customers around the Franklin region so availability to travel is essential.
