The Digital Content Adviser plays a key role in managing and growing the Ministry's digital presence.You'llwork with colleagues in Wellington and around the world to create, publish and optimise content across ourdigitalchannels, helping ensure our communications aretimely, engaging and aligned with the Ministry's priorities. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys turning complex information into clear, accessible content and who understands how digital channels can be used to reach different audiences.You'llprovide advice on digital content and channel management, support campaigns, helpmaintaincontent quality, and contribute to the Ministry's digital capability. You will: Coordinate the development and publishing of content across the Ministry's digital channels. Advise on the effective use of social media andotherdigital communications channels. Create,editand publish digital content aligned with channel strategies and campaignobjectives. Support communications advisers, contentcreatorsand offshore Posts to deliver high-quality digital communications. Train and support Ministry staff usingdigital communicationschannels. Monitor channel performance and contribute ideas to improve engagement and reach. Lead moderation activities across Ministry channels, ensuring contentcomplies withMFAT's digital terms of use. Provide quality assurance, content testing and support for channel enhancements and platform changes. Participate in anafter-hours dutyasrequired. We'dlike to hear from you if you are an experienced digital communications professional with: At least five years' experience in communications,mediaor digital content roles, including social media delivery and support. Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to turn complex information into plain English. Expertisein social media content creation,publishingand channel management. Good understanding of current social media trends, audienceengagementand digital content best practice. Experience working with a range of stakeholders and building productive relationships. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. Sound judgement and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data and insights to improve content performance. Knowledge ofFacebook, X,LinkedIn,Instagramand other relevant digital platforms. Experience creating video content for digital channels would be an advantage. Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Te Reo Māori and Māori customs and protocols would be beneficial.
