Fabricator

NZ Labour Hire Group is seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team on a full-time basis in Bell Block, Taranaki . As a Fabricator, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality metal components and structures that meet our clients' specifications and industry standards. Your technical skills and attention to detail will be essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the trades and services sector. Key responsibilities Operate and maintain fabrication equipment, including cutting, bending, shaping and joining machinery Measure, mark and cut metal materials with precision to ensure accuracy Assemble, weld and join metal components using appropriate techniques and processes Perform quality control checks throughout the fabrication process to ensure finished products meet specifications Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area in compliance with health and safety regulations Document work completed and maintain accurate records of materials and time spent on projects Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure project deadlines are met Troubleshoot fabrication issues and implement solutions to maintain productivity What we're looking for Proven experience as a Fabricator or similar role within the welding and boilermaking industry Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, including cutting, bending, shaping and welding processes Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately Proficiency in operating fabrication machinery and hand tools safely and effectively Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing work to high quality standards Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team Current or willingness to obtain relevant Health and Safety certifications (such as First Aid, Hot Work, etc.) Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining professional workplace standards Relevant qualifications or certifications in welding, metal fabrication or related trades are highly desirable What we offer At NZ Labour Hire Group, we are committed to providing our employees with a rewarding and supportive work environment.
