We have a full-time opportunity for a Slitting Operator to join our team here at our main manufacturing plant in Hamilton. The position is for our afternoon shift: 2pm-10pm. We are looking for someone who is hard working, physically fit, has a great attitude, enjoys working as part of a team and most importantly, reliability. This is a role that plays a critical part in the success here at Convex. Key tasks and responsibilities: Completing all documentation in a clear and concise manner Taking good care of the work material and equipment used Comply with standard operating and maintenance procedures Proactively looking for opportunities to streamline and improve efficiency of work processes Undertake quality specification testing procedures to ensure that machines are working optimally during the production process Consistently produce quality products at expected outputs with minimal waste Meeting specific department objectives You will bring to the role: Willing to gain a qualification in Manufacturing and/or experience A professional team focused individual who demonstrates a willingness to be flexible and provide support to others to ensure group objectives are meet Self-motivated Mechanically minded Physically fit, due to some heavy lifting A strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and commitment to quality Effective written and verbal communication skills with good basic mathematics.
