With offices at Stratford, Eltham, Opunake and Patea, we are seeking a motivated professional to join our team in Stratford. The Role This fulltime role has a strongtrust accounting focus, while also supporting the wider business as part of a collaborative support team. It suits someone who takes pride in accuracy, follows through well, and understands that strong support work is not just about doing your own tasks properly, but also about being responsive, helpful, and reliable for the wider team. You will be eager to contribute to a busy and supportive practice. This is a fulltime position being Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm, with some flexibility, if necessary. What you'll be doing: Daily receipting of monies received into our trust account Daily trust account reconciliation Managing unidentified receipts and reconciling suspense and sundry ledgers End-of-month trust account procedures in line with New Zealand Law Society regulations Checking reports, statements, and trust-related records carefully Processing transaction requests including conveyancing and telegraphic transfers Communicating with various banks Assisting with general administration and support tasks across the business when required Compile returns to the IRD About You highly accurate and detail-conscious organised and reliable able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines responsive, helpful, and team-focused strong communication and interpersonal skills a proactive, solutions-focused approach commitment to client service and building strong client relationships flexible to support the wider team when needed a good sense of humour Your Ideal background: administration experience in trust accounting and bookkeeping (Xero experience advantageous) experience with receipting, reconciliation, payments, statements, or related financial administration confidence using systems, spreadsheets, and software, however training will be given previous banking experience with lending knowledge We offer: a wide variety of challenging and stimulating work in a busy office collaborative, inclusive and supportive team environment we are focused on client service and pride ourselves on how to provide our clients with an exceptional experience Remuneration and start date to be discussed with the successful applicant.
