This is a busy and rewarding part-time role where you'll provide essential administrative support to Probation Officers and frontline staff while helping to keep the Service Centre running smoothly. You'll be the first point of contact for people serving community-based sentences, members of the public, service providers, and internal and external stakeholders. No two days are the same, and you'll enjoy a varied role supporting the Department's goal of reducing re-offending and creating safer communities. This role will suit someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can confidently manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism. This part-time role is 20 hours per week, with hours worked on Monday (8:30am-5:00pm) Tuesday and Thursday (8:30am-3:00pm). Mōu | About you We are looking for a professional, reliable, and people-focused team member who brings: Proven administration experience and strong customer service skills. Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building abilities. The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment. A collaborative and adaptable approach when working with people from diverse backgrounds. High attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information with integrity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and confidence learning new systems. A full New Zealand Driver Licence. Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. High attention to detail and accurate record-keeping. Confidence learning and using administrative systems and software. Ngā painga | The benefits The salary range for this position is $61,086 - $64,659 per annum (pro rata) . Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
